Hello, I’m Nicola…

…and I’m a counsellor. I’ve learned that everyone carries their own backpack of experiences and feelings in their own way, and I am here to help you put that backpack down, open it it up and see where those experiences really belong, who should really be carrying them & if the feelings connected to them can be changed or managed differently. Carrying this load can feel overwhelming or daunting. Perhaps you need to explore the relationships you are in, or reflect on those from your past? It can be really helpful to talk these things through with someone who is unconnected to the rest of your life, and this is where counsellors can help. For more than a decade I’ve supported clients of many ages to work through issues ranging from low self esteem, anxiety and low mood to self-harm, sexual trauma and abuse. As clinical lead at a leading East Midlands mental health charity I had the role of safeguarding lead and guided counsellors in their own work with clients. My experience has helped me to understand how important it is to offer all clients the same high standard of therapy where they and the way they want to engage in the process is always held centrally to the work.

A registered member of the BACP, I am a qualified, DBS checked and insured professional and I can offer counselling sessions either from my home office in the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds, online or by phone to clients aged 11 and over, or in person from the age of 6.
